Introduction:

If you are on the hunt for a new gaming laptop or workstation PC, one of the most significant elements into consideration is the type of processor. The two most common processors used in new models are Intel Core i7 and Intel core i5. If you want a better user experience, it may not be clear which one is right for your requirements.

What is the difference between i5 and i7?

The Intel Core i7 is more expensive than the core i5. Both processors are the best solution for multitasking, high-end gaming, scientific work, and multimedia tasks. However, some of the advantages of Intel core i5 as gaming are:

  • Integrated graphics
  • Fast performance
  • Larger cache
  • Higher clock speed

Should you Spend Money on Core i5?

If you use your computer primarily for gaming purposes, HT is not necessary. The HT will only hurt your gaming experience, but the i5 processors continue to handle them. Therefore if you are a gamer, the Intel core i5 is a system that will meet your expectations.

Specifications of a core i5

The processer of core i5 is usually understood to be mid-ranged as fast as budget is concerned. It comes in quad-core and dual-core processors and can be used as desktop computers or laptops. It comes in different speeds ranging from 1.90 GHz to 3.80 GHz. The Core i5 can have a catchy memory of 3MB-6MB. The most common RAM type is DDR3 1600 or DDR3 1333.

Reasons for Selecting the Core i5:

The majority of gamers would not be willing to spend nearly $100 extra for a more expensive PC for playing games. You can use the saved money on a decent graphics card. Even the earlier generations of the Core i5 are compatible with advanced graphic cards like RTX 2080, and it is one of the most powerful graphic processing units.
