Google accounts are on all computers these days which is great for keeping all your photos, websites and generally data all in sync. There are occasions though where you may log into your friends or family members computer and ask yourself, How do I remove my google account from the computer? The process to do this is simple and easy to do, it will, however, depend on what browser you are using. In this article, we will write it for Google Chrome but the concept will work on all browsers.
How to remove your Google Account from your Computer
To remove the Google account from your computer you will need to go open up your web browser. This will either be Google Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera (there are others but these are the most common). If you are unsure just press the Windows key on your keyboard and type one of the above names in. If you have it installed then it will pop up with an icon.
Once the browser is open go to www.Google.com
Once you are on this screen, go to the icon in the top right corner of your browser as shown by the picture below.
Click it and you will see an option that says “Sign out” or “Sign out of all accounts”
If you do this all the accounts will be signed out. Once you have signed out click this link, which will take you to the sign-in page. If you have done it successfully then you will get an option that says “Remove and Account”.
Click the “-“ Icon and you will be asked to remove the account, click “YES, REMOVE”.
The Google account will now be removed from your web browser and you can sign back into your other accounts to use them. Hopefully, this answers your question, if you still haven’t worked it out, send us a message and we can try to help!
