Introduction:

We have all asked does my computer have Bluetooth? The problem is, without a box or sticker on the laptop itself how do we know if the computer/ laptop has Bluetooth capabilities. Fortunately, there is a way to see if your computer or laptop has Bluetooth, in fact, we have 3 different methods!

1. The “Device Manager” Method

For any computer nerd or geek, the Device Manager is the central hub to see what devices are connected to a computer or laptop. With this tool, you’ll be able to see if the laptop or computer has Bluetooth. To begin with press the Windows logo on your keyboard and start typing “Device Manager”, then when it appears click it. You’ll get a box like the one below which will show you if Bluetooth is on your computer or laptop. If it is, then you may need to enable it.

2. The “Task Bar” Method

This method is one of the simplest ways to see if you have Bluetooth on your computer or laptop but is known to not always work. For this one all, you need to do it click the arrow bottom right of the screen (next to the time and date) and in this menu, you’ll be able to see the Bluetooth symbol.

3. The “Windows Settings” Method

The easiest way in which you can see whether or not your computer or laptop has Bluetooth is the Windows Setting Menu. To do this press the Windows key, now click the Settings Button or type “Settings”. Now go to “Devices”. If your computer has Bluetooth it will give you the option to turn it on and will say the Bluetooth hardware name on this menu.

Bonus Method: There are multiple ways to find out if your laptop or computer has Bluetooth but if you find none of the methods above worked or you want to definitely make sure. You can type in the Device make and model number (found on the bottom of laptop), go to the manufacture website and check the device specifications which will list if you specific model of laptop has Bluetooth.
