Introduction:

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is by far the best smartphone of the M series yet. The principle for the M series devices has been pretty simple from Samsung. The company has targeted battery capacity and display. With the latest and expensive Galaxy M51, the company hopes to take it further.

Design and Display:

The Samsung Galaxy M51 series has a huge display screen. The device feels a bit heavy which is due to the enormous battery the device contains. The Galaxy M51 weighs about 213 grams. Moreover, the phone is quite thick at 9.5mm. The back of the device is a fingerprint magnet, however, it can get scratched easily. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, it is still a bulky device and we wouldn’t recommend this phone to anyone who doesn’t like to use heavy phones.

Performance and Storage:

The Samsung M51 contains Snapdragon 730G which is an octa-core chipset built on an 8nm fabrication process clocked at 2.2GHz. It is the same processor that is found on the Samsung Galaxy A80, Realme X2, and Vivo X50, etc. The Snapdragon 730G can easily manage moderate to heavy usage without any issue. For graphics, the processor is paired with Adreno 618 GPU clocked at a higher 575MHz. The chipset comprises either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB as a standard storage option.

Battery:

M51 has an enormous battery of around 7,000mAh. This is by far the largest battery capacity we have ever seen on a mainstream smartphone. It also supports 25W charging through a Type-C port. The battery needs about two hours to fully charge which is almost tolerable considering the battery capacity.

Camera:

The Galaxy M51 has a quad-camera built at the back. It features a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor of an f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor of an f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front of the phone, there is a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The result of cameras is similar to the recently launched Galaxy M31s.

Price:

There is no doubt in accepting that the Samsung Galaxy M51 is an expensive smartphone as it costs around $300. But according to the number of features, this device contains, the price seems normal.

    Conclusion

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is the most costly M51 device yet and it brings a lot of exclusive features to the table. With the inclusion of the Snapdragon chipset and a massive battery with Samsung Super AMOLED panel, Samsung is all ready to take on the likes of the OnePlus Nord, Realme X3, and Redmi K20 Pro. The only drawback one can observe in this phone is the weight of the smartphone due to its battery. However, if you want great battery life and good performance, the Galaxy M51 should be on your list.
