Introduction:

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti seemed to be one of the most amazing of the Nvidia Ampere releases so far. The previous graphics cards like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 are a good choice for any computer graphic card but they can be a bit expensive. The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti offers the same good features but at a much affordable price that starts around $399.

Cost and Availability

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is now available in stores. We already expected this graphic card to be around $399 as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super also started at the same price of $399 while the RTX 2060 was $349. The RTX 3060 Ti has the same price as the RTX 2060 Super while being as great as the RTX 2080 Super, a card that was put on the market for $699.

Hardware:

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti has the same Ampere architecture as the RTX 3080. We can already say that the Ampere line up is going to be the budget-friendly range of the GPU market.

This graphics card will come with 8GB of the same GDDR6 memory that was previously found in the RTX 3070. It will be also paired with 38 Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors (SM). As Nvidia has made changes to its SM since Turing, each of these now has 128 CUDA cores which are double that of the 64 in each Turing SM.
Power consumption is increased over the RTX 2060 Super, but it’s not as noticeable as previous cards in the Nvidia Ampere lineup. The TGP is 200W for the RTX 3060 Ti. It is high, but it isn’t something that you need to worry about upgrading your power supply to accommodate.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti also brings a set of some other features to the table. Esports players are especially going to love Nvidia Reflex, which targets to cut the system latency, RTX IO also works along with Microsoft DirectStorage to load data right from your system storage to your VRAM. Plus, the Nvidia Broadcast allows you to eliminate the background noise and images while streaming or video chatting.

Design:

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition is literally the same as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Founders Edition. The two cards are exactly of the same size, with the same amount of fans, and the same exposed fins that help in blowing hot air out of the graphics card up and out of the system. The only main difference here is that it’s a lighter grey than the RTX 3070. Nvidia has delivered some of the striking graphics cards we have ever seen just like they did in their previous line-up.

The main drawback in these graphics cards is that the RTX 3060 Ti is using the same 12-pin power connector while only having 8 GB of memory.
