Riot Games have announced its brand new Game, as it grows the League of Legends franchise. Riot is well known for the popular, award-winning 2009 game League of Legends. For those of you who play on Xbox or Playstation, you may not have heard it but for those on PC, it’s one of the most played computer games on the market right now, plus it’s free!
As Riot grows the franchise, they have recently released games such as League (Runterra), Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends Wild Rift and a unique shooter game Valorant. After their most recent game releases, they are now moving onto a new game called Ruined King.
From what we currently know the Ruined King game will be a story-based League of Legends game. You will be able to play it cross-gen on the new PS5 and Xbox Series X. The game itself is set to be a single-player turn-based RPG, but at this time the details are little to none.
So far Riot has announced that the Roster itself will include characters from League of Legends. There will be two different Champions depending if you play on Bilgewater or Shadow Isles. In the new Ruined King game, you will be able to control the characters in an adventure and learn more about their unique backstory.
Based on the trailer footage, which we will show below, the “Ruined King” will be the main villain, based in his domain of “the Shadow Isles”. When you play the game, you will have to fight your way through two different isles, Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles.

Riot has released the following information about Bilgewater:
“Nestled away in the Blue Flame Isles archipelago, Bilgewater is a port city like no other—home to serpent hunters, dock gangs, and smugglers from across the known world. Here, fortunes are made and ambitions shattered in the blink of an eye. For those fleeing justice, debt, or persecution, Bilgewater can be a place of new beginnings, for no one on these twisted streets cares about your past. Even so, with each new dawn, careless travellers can always be found floating in the harbour, their purses empty and their throats slit…
While incredibly dangerous, Bilgewater is ripe with opportunity, free from the shackles of formal government and trade regulation. If you have the coin, almost anything can be purchased here, from outlawed hextech to the favor of local crime lords.
With the recent removal of the last “reaver king” of Bilgewater, the city has entered a period of transition, while the most prominent captains try to agree on its future. But as long as there are seaworthy ships and crews to sail them, Bilgewater is likely to remain one of the most colorful and well-connected places in Runeterra.”
Part of the Bilgewater story will come with 8 known Stories. Riot has provided two Cinematic clips from the Bilgewater, which you can watch below.
The first is called: “TALES OF RUNETERRA: BILGEWATER”
The second clip they have named: “LEGENDS OF BILGEWATER: TALL TALES OF THE DEEP SEA”

The champions which are listed for Bilgewater are as follows: Fizz, Gangplank, Graves, Illaoi, Miss Fortune, Nautilus, Pyke, Tahm Kench and Twisted Fate.

Riot has said the following information about the Shadow Isles:
“This cursed land was once home to a noble, enlightened civilization, known to its allies and emissaries as the Blessed Isles. However, more than a thousand years ago, an unprecedented magical cataclysm left the barrier between the material and spirit realms in tatters, effectively merging the two… and dooming all living things in an instant.
Now, a malevolent Black Mist permanently shrouds the Isles, and the earth itself is tainted by dark sorcery. Mortals who dare to venture to these dismal shores will slowly have their life force stolen away from them, which in turn attracts the insatiable, restless spirits of the dead.
Those who perish within the Mist are condemned to haunt this nightmarish place for eternity—worse still, the power of the Shadow Isles appears to wax stronger with every passing year, allowing the most powerful specters to roam farther and farther across Runeterra.”
Unlike the Bilgewater content, Riot has only provided 5 known stories for the Shadow Isles but we are expecting more. There are currently 2 cinematic videos for the Shadow Isles.
The first being “TALES OF RUNETERRA: SHADOW ISLES”:
The second clip they have named: “TALES OF THE BLACK MIST: THE HARROWING”.
You can read more about the Shadow Isles here.
Currently, they have announced the following champions for Shadow Isles: Hecarim, Karthus, Thresh, Kalista, Mordekaiser, Yorick, Moakai and Elise,
